Year 10

Students will follow a course designed to accredit the work they have learned over the previous Key stage. They will become competent in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Computer Art and Database software. Use of Internet technologies will be covered including Web Pages, Email and Presentation software.
They will learn about the uses and the impact of ICT in society. Awareness of the Data protection act and other social and moral issues will be addressed.
This will be achieved by students commencing and working toward the OCR GCSE (Short Course) in Information and Communication Technology B 1095

Year 11

Students will follow a course designed to accredit the work they have learned over the previous Key stage. They will become competent in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Computer Art and Database software. Use of Internet technologies will be covered including Web Pages, Email and Presentation software.
They will learn about the uses and the impact of ICT in society. Awareness of the Data protection act and other social and moral issues will be addressed.
This will be achieved by students completing their work toward the OCR GCSE (Short Course) in Information and Communication Technology B 1095. Those who are proficient will be entered for the OCR GCSE Information and Communication Technology B (1995 – Units 2378 and 2379) programme of work.
This will give students a full GCSE Certificate.
